2020 NAHP Juried Exhibition
Materiality: Hand Papermaking
in the Age of Isolation
The 2020 NAHP Juried Exhibition is titled Materiality: Hand Papermaking in the Age of Isolation. As an exhibition, Materiality: Hand Papermaking in the Age of Isolation is comprised of artists utilizing hand papermaking techniques or working with handmade paper. A catalogue of artworks, edited by Steph Rue and Jaz Graf, and designed by Maria Amalia Wood, can now be downloaded (42MB).
As a community of artists and craftspeople working with handmade paper and techniques, we create a wide array of tactile material. Those materials speak to the core of our senses and tie us to a vast tradition rooted in the transformation of natural fibers. Artists investigate the concepts of transition and change that are so inherent in the creation of paper and paper arts. The esteemed jurors for the first NAHP Juried Exhibition are Fabiola Jean-Louis, Hong Hong, and Anne McKeown.
