Nina Meledandri
closer through difference
Media: handmade recycled & abaca paper, yagruma leaf & gypsyweed
Artist Statement:
“closer through difference,” is a marriage of cultures, a leaf from cuba, one side dark, the other light merges with a dried bloom from my garden. Set against recycled paper, which maintains the evidence of words it is framed by a ring of abaca and makes the illusion of the improbable, possible.
