During a recent artist in residence I began casting place. Thinking about how we are able to ground ourselves to place and in place.

Statement:
Quilted is a piece that explores the meticulous craft of quilting. Quilts are often made and given as symbols for healing. I wanted to create a quilt for myself that not only was a form of healing through making.
Biography
Sage Serrano is an artist living and working in San Diego, CA. She received her MFA from San Diego State University and her BA in visual arts studio with honors from UC San Diego. Her recent work has been investigating connections that are forced, found or failed.
