Water World 2

Media: kozo, gampi, nautilus shell, gold

Statement:
Water World 2 is a pulp painting of kozo and gampi produced during the pandemic confinement in 2020. It contains a thin slice of a chambered nautilus shell. One chamber of the shell is 24K gold foil. Dimensions are 11x18 inches.

Biography

Roger studied art as a youth, but followed a career as a chemist in the pharmaceutical industry. After early retirement in 1995, he returned to art studying printmaking at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts. He has been a member of the Guild of Papermakers for almost 30 years.
