Biography
John Babcock currently works in his mountain side studio south of San Francisco. His work has been shown in major museums internationally. He has developed a number of unique techniques for building his large format paper works and has shared these through lectures and workshops worldwide. A special interest in his exploration of paper is the distinct personalities of specific papermaking fibers, especially the way they reflect light differently and he utilizes these characteristics in his work. Works are included in many public and private collections including The Museum of Arts and Design, New York.
